Allergies are caused by the inability of our bodies to cope with a food or part of the environment. They can range in severity from life-threatening, to a simple “dullness” caused by the continuing drain on your body’s reserves. Allergies are often mistaken for other illnesses or conditions because the effects can be so wide-ranging. Likewise, many conditions and diseases are increased in severity when allergies are also present.
To combat the effect of allergies, we must first discover the allergen. In food, the patient is best placed on a four day rotation diet, then adding back foods one by one, eliminating those that precipitate the allergic condition. The same would hold true in the elimination of environmental allergens so far as these would be under our control.
Frequent manifestations of allergies are: headaches, drowsiness, runny nose, watery eyes, canker sores, asthma, hives, eczema, belching, dermatitis, infections, lethargy, swellings, poor concentration, confusion, hypoglycemia, faintness, insomnia, stuffy nose, earache, itching, congestion, vomiting, heartburn, pallor, candida, restlessness, crying jags, panic, daydreaming, dizziness, fatigue, hearing loss, sinusitis, nausea, diarrhea, colitis, weakness, vaginal discharge, hyperactivity, irritability, indifference, anxiety, feeling of fullness, tired after eating, blurring vision, gagging, coughing, sneezing, palpitations, tachycardia, hoarseness, flatulence, excessive gas, abdominal cramps, muscle aches, cramps, depression, moods, learning disabilities, stuttering, mental dullness, slurred speech and insecurity.
These are by no means the only manifestations. There are as many allergic reactions as there are reaction capabilities in the system. Important to recognize that an altered response is due to the body’s inability to cope with foods or environment. The following supplements aid in the regulation of the digestive and immunity mechanisms of the body.
