SOD-Pau D’Arco Plus
CHF #74 SOD-Pau D’ Arco Plus is a combination of ingredients which may help to stimulate and activate the immune system. SOD (Superoxide Dismutase) is an enzyme which works with Catalase, that is also found in CHF #74. To this powerful duo, we have added other known defense ingredients like Bee Pollen, Enzyme Co Q10 and Glutathione, among other things. SOD is known in South America as the “cure all” and to have a greater anti-fungal activity than a common prescription drug. CHF #74 also may have anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Pau D’Arco, or the inner bark of the Tabebuia avellanedae tree, is native to Brazil. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center it is traditionally known to treat a wide range of conditions including pain, arthritis, prostatitis, fever, dysentery and boils and ulcers. Preliminary laboratory research examining the properties of Pau D’Arco is beginning to suggest that the traditional uses may have scientific merit. Such laboratory studies have shown that Pau D’Arco has pain killing, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious and anti-psoriatic. Taking this early data, combined with information collected about traditional uses, herbalists may recommend Pau D’Arco which may help to treat or prevent a number of conditions, including candidiasis (a yeast infection of the vaginal or oral areas), herpes simplex virus, influenza, parasitic diseases such as schistosomiasis, bacterial infections such as brucellosis, and inflammation of the cervix (cervicitis) or the vagina (vaginitis). Pau D’Arco may also reduce inflammation of the joints associated with arthritis.
In the book Prescription for Nutritional Healing, it says that Pau D’ Arco may help to cleanse the blood. Also, it is good for smoker’s cough, warts, and all types of infections. It may help with the symptoms of AIDs, allergies, tumors, ulcers, and cardiovascular problems. Pau D’ Arco is also called lapacho and/or taheebo.
